NASDAQ Futures are up 9 with +14 Fair Value, Dow Futures are up 34 fighting the global trend today. Asian stocks closed in the red and Europe is currently down. Oil is up, gold is down. Costco (COST) is up slightly after reporting earnings.
AAPL had a rough day yesterday in the wake of a sour broader market. Though yesterday's pre-market looked promising, AAPL opened just above 114 and rapidly dropped to mid-112, reaching lows within pennies of 112.5 in the early morning on high volume and in late afternoon on moderate volume. Unfortunately, AAPL closed the intra-day session at the day's low 112.44. After-hours was a little kinder on AAPL, gaining 34 cents to 112.78.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened a penny lower than the intra-day close yesterday on moderate volume and then zipped up above 113 pretty quickly alongside Futures. As usual we saw institutional activity at 8am, 10,900 shares reversing a pre-market technical dip to 112.85. Since, AAPL has remained in a range in the low to mid-113s. AAPL is currently up 66 cents at 113.1.
Classic max-pain is 113.
