Apple Today - 10/30/2015 (AAPL)

Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are up 7 with +8 Fair Value, Dow Futures are up 27 as we begin this final trading day of October and end one of the best months for the global markets in years. Asian markets were mixed, Hong Kong closed down 0.79%, China was down 0.14% while Japan ended up 0.78%. European markets are universally lower again today with UK, France and Germany all currently down under 0.5%. Oil is up around 0.5% in pre-market while natural gas reversed yesterday's gain and is down nearly 2.5%. Gold is about flat. There was a smaller than expected rise in US consumer spending.

Solar company First Solar (FSLR) impressed with earnings yesterday and the stock is trading higher this morning by over 12%. On the other hand, shares of SolarCity (SCTY) are down around 19% after a disappointing earnings miss. Travel site Expedia (EXPE) also reported yesterday and is currently up 7% on advancing profits while video game maker Electronic Arts (EA) is currently down 1% after reporting yesterday. This morning, Exxon (XOM) beat estimates and is currently up around 1%. While earnings season is slowing down somewhat, look out for Travelzoo (TZOO) results on Monday before the open.

AAPL opened slightly down yesterday after a particularly powerful Wednesday and spend most of the morning lingering undecidely in the mid-118 area with a low of 118.27 at 9:54am on high volume. By mid-lunch however, AAPL turned green and steamed on ahead all afternoon, first reclaiming 119 and then 120 by 2pm. Not stopping there, AAPL continued up, peaking at 120.69 at 3:48pm for the day on high volume before closing at 120.53. AAPl gained an additional 11 cents in after-hours to 120.64.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened higher in conjunction with Futures and dipped to 120.4 at 6:52am on low volume. Since, AAPL regained steam and broke 121 shortly after 8am on high volume with a current pre-market peak of 121.35 at 8:52am on high volume. AAPL is currently up 72 cents at 121.25.
