Apple Today - 11/02/2015 (AAPL)

seymour_greenz • November 2nd 2015 09:31:24 AM

Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are up 6 with +10 Fair Value, Dow Futures are up 6 - quite a "treat" to see green Futures as they were deep in the red "trick" zone last night after this Halloween weekend. Asian markets closed significantly lower on data indicating China's factory sector slowed for a third straight month in October. China dropped 1.70%, Hong Kong closed down 1.19% and Japan ended down 2.10%. Manufacturing growth in the United Kingdom unexpectedly rose to 55.5 in October, the highest level since June 2014. Futures contracts now show a 50% chance that the Fed will raise rates for the first time since 2006 at its upcoming December meeting, 6 weeks away.

AAPL had an impressive earnings week, steaming ahead from 114 to as high as 121.22 just this past Friday before a visit from the OPEX fairy. On Friday, AAPL pre-market was strong in the mid-121 area with AAPL opening up above 121. Never regaining the pre-market high, AAPL sold down just below 120 by 11:18am on relatively high volume before bouncing back to green in early afternoon trading. Struggling to hold a daily gain, AAPL slipped and eventually lost the 120, reaching a low of 119.45 before the OPEX close. AAPL ended the week at 119.5 and saw continued selling in after-hours dropping as low as 119.12 on high volume and ending at 119.28, down 22 cents.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened lower at 119.25 on low volume in conjunction with Futures. Before long, AAPL regained 119.5 and then by 8:44am AAPL made a grasp for 120 again, peaking at 119.86 on relatively high volume. AAPL is currently up 28 cents at 119.78.

Classic max-pain is 118.
