seymour_greenz • November 5th 2015 09:32:29 AM

Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are up 12 with +10 Fair Value, Dow Futures are up 65. Asian markets were generally up. China gained 1.83%, Japan closed up 1% and Japan was flat, dropping just 0.01%. European markets are also mostly up. France is currently up over 1% while Germany is up just under 1%. UK is down slightly, 0.12%. Oil and gold are slightly down this morning, while natural gas is up nearly 2% again in pre-market trading. Jobless claims applications were reported to be up, at a 5-week high. Yesterday after the bell Facebook (FB) reported an 11% earnings boost, confirming to investors that their mobile strategy is working and sending shares of FB up 5% to 109 in pre-market. On the other hand, Whole Foods Market (WFM) reported a decline in same-same stores during Q4, causing shares to continue their year-long slide. Shares of WFM are currently down over 6% in pre-market. Qualcomm (QCOM) is down 5% in pre-market after issuing a weak outlook for the current quarter and announcing that it would no longer issue guidance about annual earnings. Lots more earnings headed our way in the last big pinnacle day of earnings. Look for media powerhouse Disney (DIS), animation studio Dreamworks Animation (DWA), semiconductor supplier Skyworks (SWKS) and graphics chip manufacturer NVIDIA (NVDA).

AAPL started the day out with a bang yesterday, reaching a peak of 123.82 minutes after the open on huge volume, and then sold off rapidly to 122, seemingly putting an end to the earnings and divvy run that began last week. AAPL bounced on just below 122 on strong volume and made ground back towards 123 by the lunch bell on moderate volume. Early afternoon AAPL struggled and oscillated in the low 122 area before crumbling below 122 in the last 20 minutes of trading, dipping as low as 121.62 on relatively high volume within 4 minutes of the close. AAPL bounced slightly to close intra-day at an even 122 and after-hours saw some small uplift of 25 cents to 122.25.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up lower due to ex-div and quickly recovered back towards 122, breaking above to 122.09 at 6:42am on high volume. AAPL has since been hovering in the upper-121 area all morning. AAPL is currently down 25 cents at 121.75.

Classic max-pain is now 122! Today is ex-div day.
