Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are up 11 with +11 Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 7 with +7 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 59 as the earnings pace reduces slightly amid green global markets. Futures were up in early morning and spiked up significantly after 2am, peaking at 5am and then settling back down yet remaining solid green as we await the open.

Asian markets ended up today. China gained 0.02%, Hong Kong went up 0.43% and Japan rallied 2.15%. European markets are up today. The UK is currently up 0.24%, Germany is up 0.36% and France is up 0.29%.

Commodities are mostly up this morning. Oil is up 0.35%, natural gas is up 2.19% and gold is down 0.04%. Unleaded gas is up 0.81% and heating oil is up 1.29%. Metals are up except gold. Meat is mostly up. Cocoa, coffee, cotton, corn, and soybeans are up while wheat is down.

Global markets green. Credit Suisse Group AG reported a loss of 302 million Swiss francs ($311 million) for the Q1. Greek bonds, shares jump.

SolarCity Corp. (SCTY) reported Q1 earnings yesterday afternoon with a loss and lowered outlook and is down nearly 18% in pre-market. Rackspace Hosting, Inc. (RAX) announced Q1 earnings beating expectations but with a light forecast and is down over 3.5%. MannKind Corporation (MNKD) reported a Q1 loss, missing expectations by 1 cent and is down nearly 17.5%.

Nokia Corporation (NOK) reported Q1 earnings missing expectations with a cautious outlook and is down over 2.5% in pre-market. ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARIA) also reported a Q1 loss and is down over 2.5%. On the other hand, SodaStream International (SODA) announced earnings beating expectations and is up nearly 10.5% and Vericel Corporation (VCEL) also reported Q1 earnings and is up nearly 16% in pre-market.

This afternoon after the bell, look for earnings from The Walt Disney Company (DIS), The First Marblehead Corporation (FMD), Nuance Communications, Inc. (NUAN), Fossil, Inc. (FOSL), Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (JAZZ), Planet Fitness (PLNT), magicJack VocalTec Communications Ltd. (CALL) and Electronic Arts Inc. (EA).

Tomorrow morning, Macy's Inc. (M), Materialise NV (MTLS) and The Wendy's Company (WEN) are expected to report.


AAPL had a fairly flat day, ending up 0.08% on lower than average volume. AAPL opened at 93 to relatively strong volume and quickly set a low of 92.59 on high volume before bouncing and climbing back to the mid-93 area on moderate volume within an hour. AAPL peaked at 93.77 at 10:18am on average volume and then retreated to the mid-93 area for the rest of the morning on lower volume. AAPL declined in early afternoon, bottoming near 2pm in the upper-92 area on low volume before bouncing back above 93 at 3pm on low volume. AAPL declined again into the close and managed to hold on to a 7 cent gain for the day at 92.79. AAPL gained 3 cents in after-hours to 92.82.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up in conjunction with cheerful Futures and hit 93.64 early on before dipping down below 93 later in the morning and bouncing back. AAPL is currently up 44 cents at 93.23 as we approach the open.
