Apple Today - 5/27/2016 OPEX (AAPL)

Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are up 8 with +13 Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 2 with +4 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 18 on this final Friday OPEX for May, complete with an appearance from Janet Yellen at 11:30am. Futures were up slightly in early morning and took a dip at 3am but have since recovered and are at the highs as we await the open.

Asian markets were mostly up. China dropped 0.05%, Hong Kong gained 0.88% and Japan increased 0.37%. European markets are mixed today. The UK is currently down 0.06%, Germany is up 0.12% and France is down 0.12%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 1.01%, natural gas is down 1.91% and gold is down 0.04%. Unleaded gas is down 0.37% and heating oil is down 0.79%. Metals are mixed. Meat is up. Cocoa and coffee are up while cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are down.

US economy grew faster in Q1 than previously thought. Janet Yellen speaks at 11:30am.

Palo Alto Networks (PANW) reported a Q3 earnings loss yesterday afternoon and is down nearly 10.5% in pre-market. Deckers Outdoor Corporation (DECK) reported a Q4 earnings loss and is down over 2%. GameStop Corp. (GME) reported Q1 earnings with mixed results and is down nearly 7.5%. On the other hand, NQ Mobile Inc. (NQ) reported Q1 earnings and is up 0.5%.

JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (JKS) reported profitable Q1 results this morning and is up nearly 3.5%. Big Lots, Inc. (BIG) announced Q1 earnings topping expectations and is up over 14% in pre-market.

Tuesday morning before the open, look for earnings from The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS).

AAPL continued its rocket flight yesterday gaining an additional 0.79% on huge volume on top of an already incredible week. AAPL opened at 99.67 to huge volume and took a dip in the red with a low of 98.64 on high volume at 9:56am before firing upwards to turn green after lunchtime and breaking 100 in the afternoon on high volume. The AAPL firework reached a peak of 100.73 at 3:26pm on moderate volume and then began to arc down towards the mid-100 area into the close. AAPL closed the day up 79 cents at 100.41 and gained an additional 13 cents in after-hours to 100.54.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL continued from yesterday's close with an open near mid-100 but has dropped significantly in pre-market to the low to mid-99 area, "presumably" on Cramer's advice to book profits. AAPL is down 1.08 cents at 99.33 as we approach the open.
