Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are up 4 with +4 Fair Value, S&P Futures are down 2 with -2 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 26 on this Thursday "packed to the gills" with economic data and earnings. Futures were up slightly in early morning then turned to red just after 4:30am, hitting lows just over an hour later and have bounced since, though still below the highs as we await the open.

Asian markets ended up. China gained 0.37%, Hong Kong gained 0.54% and Japan led the advance, up 0.77%. European markets are down. Germany is down 0.07%, France is down 0.33% and the UK is leading the decline, down 0.45%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 0.39%, natural gas is up 0.08% and gold is up 0.17%. Unleaded gas is up 0.15% and heating oil is down 0.91%. Metals are up except silver. Meat is down. Coffee, cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are up while cocoa is down.

US jobless claims hit three-month low, factory activity weakens. US unemployment applications dipped to 253,000 last week. Oil slips as US stock build raises glut worries. ECB holds rates amid growing headwinds. Brexit dents global economic outlook, fiscal stimulus ahead.

Intel Corporation (INTC) reported Q2 earnings yesterday afternoon that missed expectations and is down nearly 3.5% in pre-market. American Express Company (AXP) announced Q2 earnings with strong overseas sales and Costco sale and is down nearly 2%. F5 Networks, Inc. (FFIV) reported a Q3 earnings beat and is up over 0.5%. Mattel, Inc. (MAT) reported Q2 earnings and is up over 4% on a lower than expected loss. Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM) announced a strong Q3 that beat expectations and is up nearly 8%. Raymond James Financial Inc. (RJF) announced a Q3 neat and is up slightly. Tractor Supply Company (TSCO) met Q2 estimates and is down nearly 2%. eBay Inc. (EBAY) announced Q2 earnings that beat expectations due in part to Stubhub sales and also increased outlook, buyback and is up nearly 6%. IMAX Corporation (IMAX) reported mixed Q2 results and is up over 3%.

Sonoco Products Co. (SON) is down slightly in pre-market on a Q2 earnings beat reported this morning. DISH Network Corporation (DISH) reported Q2 earnings that beat forecasts but a larger than expected TV subscriber loss and is down nearly 2%. Domino's Pizza, Inc. (DPZ) announced Q2 earnings that beat expectations and is up over 4%. Unilever Plc (UL) is down slightly after reporting Q2 earnings. Alaska Air Group, Inc. (ALK) announced Q2 earnings that topped forecasts and is up nearly 1.5%. Biogen Inc. (BIIB) reported Q2 earnings that beat expecatations and is up over 5.5%. The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BK) announced a profitable Q2 and is down nearly 1%. General Motors Company (GM) is up nearly 4% after reporting Q2 profits more than double on US earnings. Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV) is down over 5.5% after announcing strong Q2 profits but cheaper fares impacting. The Travelers Companies, Inc. (TRV) reported Q2 earnings and is down nearly 0.5%. Dunkin' Brands (DNKN) reported a Q2 with earnings that topped expectations but lagging revenue and is down nearly 3%.


This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Athenahealth, Inc. (ATHN), Skechers USA Inc. (SKX), Pandora Media (P), Boston Beer Co. (SAM), Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), E*TRADE Financial Corporation (ETFC), Starbucks Corporation (SBUX), Schlumberger Limited (SLB), Visa Inc. (V), Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (CMG), Capital One Financial Corporation (COF), AT&T Inc. (T), PayPal Holdings, Inc. (PYPL) and Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (SWKS).

Tomorrow morning, Moody's Corporation (MCO), Textron Inc (TXT), Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. (SWK), American Airlines Group (AAL), General Electric Company (GE), Honeywell International, Inc. (HON), SunTrust Banks, Inc. (STI), Synchrony Financial (SYF) and Whirlpool Corporation (WHR) are expected to report.


AAPL had a partially cloudy afternoon but it cleared up and AAPL ended up 0.09% on very low volume. AAPL opened at 100 to high volume and chugged along in the low-100 area for a bit before pushing up to set an intra-day high of 100.46 at 9:51am on mild volume, then selling off through lunch into the afternoon hitting a low of 99.74 at 3:06pm on low volume before bouncing back towards 100 into the close, chasing the clouds away and closing in the green. AAPL ended the day up 9 cents at 99.96 and gained 23 cents in after-hours to 100.19.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL picked up with yestarday's strong after-hours and took a low volume dip below 100 before bouncing back above 100 and setting a pre-market high of 100.28 at 6:36am. AAPL has since settled in the low-100 area and is currently up 22 cents at 100.18 as we approach the open.
