Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are down 8 with -13 Fair Value, S&P Futures are down 4 with -5 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 23 an earnings season heats up in August with a touch of economic data arriving this morning. Futures were up in early morning and reaching a peak just after 3am, but dropped to negative shortly after and bottomed just before 5am and are near the lows as we await the open.

Asian markets ended mixed. China gained 0.61%, Hong Kong ended flat and Japan dropped 1.47%. European markets are down. The UK is down 0.36%, Germany is down 1.26% and France is leading the decline, down 1.51%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is up 0.95%, natural gas is down 0.04% and gold is up 0.55%. Unleaded gas is up 1.59% and heating oil is up 2.19%. Metals are up. Meat is up strong. Cocoa, coffee, corn and wheat are up while cotton and soybeans are down.

Market set to open slightly lower. Consumer spending in US rose 0.4% for a 2nd month in June. Oil rebounds from losses but oversupply concerns remain.

Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDTI) reported Q1 earnings yesterday afternoon that met expectations but lowered guidance is down over 15.5% in pre-market. XO Group Inc. (XOXO) announced Q2 results that topped expectations and is up over 3.5%. Dun & Bradstreet Corp. (DNB) is up nearly 2% after beating Q2 forecasts. Texas Roadhouse, Inc. (TXRH) reported Q2 earnings that met expectations but lowered outlook and is down nearly 11.5%

Seagate Technology (STX) reported Q4 earnings this morning that beat expectations and is up over 1.5%. CVS Health Corporation (CVS) announced Q2 results that topped expectations and is up over 2.5%. Pfizer Inc. (PFE) reported Q2 results that beat expectations and is down over 1.5%. Carbonite Inc. (CARB) announced Q2 earnings that beat expectations and is up nearly 9%. Vonage Holdings Corp. (VG) reported earnings that topped expectations and is up over 1%. Hyatt Hotels Corporation (H) announced Q2 earnings that beat expectations but lowered outlook and is down over 1%. Discovery Communications, Inc (DISCA) reported profitable Q2 earnings that beat expectations and is up nearly 2%. The Procter & Gamble Company (PG) announced Q4 results that topped expectations and is up over 0.5%. Aetna, Inc. (AET) reported Q2 results and is up nearly 2%. SodaStream International (SODA) announced Q2 earnings that beat expectations and is up nearly 11%. RetailMeNot, Inc. (SALE) reported a Q2 loss but beat expectations and is up nearly 6.5%. Avon Products, Inc. (AVP) announced Q2 earnings that topped estimates and is up nearly 9.5%.


This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Hanesbrands Inc. (HBI), LifeLock, Inc. (LOCK), American International Group Inc (AIG), Cray Inc (CRAY), Devon Energy Corporation (DVN), Potbelly Corporation (PBPB), Zendesk, Inc. (ZEN), Avis Budget Group, Inc. (CAR), Caesars Entertainment (CZR), Etsy, Inc. (ETSY), La Quinta Holdings Inc. (LQ), Glu Mobile Inc. (GLUU), Fitbit, Inc. (FIT) and Electronic Arts Inc. (EA).

Tomorrow morning before the open, CDW Corporation (CDW), Time Warner Inc. (TWX), Voya Financial, Inc. (VOYA), Office Depot Inc. (ODP), Vitamin Shoppe, Inc. (VSI), Crocs, Inc. (CROX), Kate Spade & Company (KATE), 3D Systems Corp. (DDD), The Clorox Company (CLX) and HSBC Holdings PLC (HSBC) are expected to report.


AAPL ran up through fields of green yesterday with barely a cloud overhead, gaining 1.77% on average volume. AAPL opened up at 104.44 on high volume and immediately put in an intra-day low of 104.41 before pushing up into the mid-105 area by 11am and continued the green run up to the 106-area later in the afternoon preceded by a small shallow dip into the low-105 area in early afternoon. AAPL ending the day up 1.84 at 106.05 and gained 14 cents in after-hours to 106.19.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL picked up with yesterday's close at 106 and quickly dipped in conjunction with Futures. AAPL hit a low of 105.44 at 5:37am and has hung around the mid to upper 105-area since. AAPL is currently down 29 cents at 105.76 as we approach the open.
