Good Morning,

S&P Futures are down 2 with -2 Fair Value, NASDAQ Futures are up 1 with +1 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 22 as we wrap up our first week of 2017. A lot of economic metrics are rolling in today, and all eyes this morning were on the final Obama jobs report where total non-farm payroll employment rose by 156,000 in December, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 4.7%. Shares in Toyota (TM) slipped nearly 2% in Tokyo after the company was targeted by a tweet stating "Build plant in U.S. or pay big border tax,". On the other hand, Amgen (AMGN) is up over 4.5% in pre-market after a US District Court judge ordered competitors Sanofi (SNY) and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN) to stop selling a drug that infringes on Amgen patents.

This morning's economic calendar has a number of key reports including Non-farm payrolls, International Trade, Factory Orders and an appearance from Fed's Evans on Monetary Policy and this afternoon Baker-Hughes Rig Count and another appearance from Fed's Kaplan on Economic Outlook is expected.

The big earnings loser today is Ruby Tuesday, Inc. (RT), down over 12%.

Futures were down slightly in early morning and then popped up into lime green territory alongside the jobs report release at 8:30am and are now at the highs as we approach the open.

Asian markets ended mostly down. China dropped 0.35%, Hong Kong went up 0.21% and Japan went down 0.34%. European markets are also mostly down. The UK is up 0.04%, Germany is down 0.06% and France is down 0.41%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is up 0.86%, natural gas is down 1.25% and gold is down 0.23%. Unleaded gas is up 0.74% and heating oil is up 0.92%. Metals are down. Meats are mixed. Cocoa is up while coffee, cotton, corn wheat and soybeans are down.

US payrolls rise 156,000 as wages increase most since 2009. US trade deficit widened in November to a 9-month high.

Ruby Tuesday, Inc. (RT) reported Q2 earnings yesterday afternoon with an adjusted loss of 18 cents per share and is down over 12% in pre-market.

The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. (GBX) is up slightly after announcing Q1 results with net income of 79 cents per share this morning, missing expectations.
