Good Morning,
S&P Futures are down 3 with -3 Fair Value, NASDAQ Futures are down 1 with -6 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 12 as stocks near all-time highs and earnings season keeps marching on.
This morning's relatively quiet Economic Calendar includes: MBA Mortgage Applications and EIA Petroleum Inventories followed by Results of $23B, 10-Year Note Auction this afternoon.
The earnings winners are Panera Bread Company (PNRA), up nearly 2.5% and Alaska Air Group, Inc. (ALK), up nearly 2.5%. On the other hand Zillow Group, Inc. (Z) is down over 6%, GrubHub Inc. (GRUB) is down nearly 5%, Akamai Technologies, Inc. (AKAM) is down over 4.5% and Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. (BWLD) is down over 4.5%.
Futures were down in early morning and turned green after 1:30am, peaking before 5am and slipping sharply afterwards and are at the lows as we approach the open.
Asian markets ended up. China gained 0.44%, Japan went up 0.51%, and Hong Kong led the advance, up 0.66%. European markets are mostly down. The UK is down 0.32%, Germany is down 0.33% and France is up 0.10%.
Commodities are mostly down this morning. Oil is down 1.00%, natural gas is down 1.57% and gold is up 0.41%. Unleaded gas is down 0.57% and heating oil is down 0.25%. Metals are up. Meats are mixed. Cotton and soybeans are up while cocoa, coffee and corn are down and wheat is flat.

Panera Bread Company (PNRA) announced Q4 results yesterday afternoon with adjusted earnings of $2.05 per share that beat expectations and is up nearly 2.5% in pre-market. The Walt Disney Company (DIS) is down slightly after reporting Q1 results with mixed results. NETGEAR, Inc. (NTGR) announced results with adjusted Q4 earnings of 88 cents per share that beat expectations and has yet to react. Akamai Technologies, Inc. (AKAM) reported Q4 results with adjusted earnings of 72 cents per share that topped expectations and is down over 4.5%. Zillow Group, Inc. (Z) announced Q4 results with adjusted earnings of 14 cents per share that topped expectations and is down over 6%. Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (TTWO) is up slightly after reporting Q3 results with adjusted earnings of 86 cents per share. Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. (BWLD) announced Q4 results with profit of 87 cents per share and is down over 4.5%. Nuance Communications, Inc. (NUAN) is up nearly 1.5% after reporting Q1 results with adjusted earnings of 35 cents per share that met expectations.
Time Warner Inc. (TWX) reported Q4 results this morning with adjusted earnings of $1.25 per share that exceeded expectations and is up nearly 1% in pre-market. GrubHub Inc. (GRUB) announced Q4 results that missed expectations and is down nearly 5%. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. (GT) is down over 1% after reporting Q4 results with earnings of $2.14 per share. Alaska Air Group, Inc. (ALK) announced Q4 results with adjusted earnings of $1.56 per share that surpassed expectations and is up nearly 2.5%. Voya Financial, Inc. (VOYA) reported a Q4 loss with adjusted earnings of 91 cents per share that beat expectations and is down over 3.5%. Nokia Corporation (NOK) is up nearly 1% after reporting Q4 results.
This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Limelight Networks, Inc. (LLNW), Prospect Capital Corporation (PSEC), Equifax Inc. (EFX), Forrester Research, Inc. (FORR), iRobot Corporation (IRBT), Prudential Financial, Inc. (PRU), Whole Foods Market, Inc. (WFM), Cray Inc (CRAY), Dun & Bradstreet Corp. (DNB), USA Technologies, Inc. (USAT), Zendesk, Inc. (ZEN), Level 3 Communications, Inc. (LVLT) and Glu Mobile Inc. (GLUU).

AAPL flew up to 132 yesterday, ending up 0.95% on higher than average volume. AAPL opened up at 130.54 to high volume and immediately set an intra-day low of 130.45 before soaring up to the upper-131 area on mild volume and holding until 2pm when AAPL dipped below 131.5 and bounced back at 3pm and held 131.5 into the close on moderate volume. AAPL ended the day up $1.24 at 131.53 and dropped 5 cents in after-hours to 131.48.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened higher and strived towards 132, setting a pre-market high of 131.88 at 6:33am as BofA/Merrill Lynch maintained AAPL coverage with Buy and target 145. AAPL subsequently slipped in conjunction with Futures and set a pre-market low of 131.20 later in the morning. AAPL is currently down 18 cents at 131.35 as we approach the open.
