Yikes! S&P Futures are down 9 with -7 Fair Value, NASDAQ Futures are down 15 with -14 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 61 on this Tuesday as a figurative and literal "epic storm" looms. Despite 31 million East Coasters being under a blizzard warning, the markets will proceed as usual. Later today, oil prices will step into focus as OPEC releases its monthly update. Ackman's Pershing Square reportedly sold its entire stake in Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (VRX) at a multi-billion dollar loss, causing VRX to drop further, now down over 11% in pre-market.

This morning's Economic Calendar includes: FOMC meeting begins, NFIB Small Business Optimism Index, Producer Price Index and Redbook Chain Store Sales

The earnings winner is: Resource Capital Corporation (RSO), up nearly 0.5% in pre-market. On the other hand, HD Supply (HDS) is down nearly 3%.

Futures were down slightly in early morning, struggled to break even shortly after 3am and then dipped sharply through the rest of the morning and are at the lows as we approach the open.

Asian markets ended mixed. China gained 0.07%, Hong Kong went down 0.01% and Japan dropped 0.12%. European markets are up. The UK is down 0.18%, Germany is down 0.35% and France is leading the decline, down 0.64%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 1.20%, natural gas is down 0.49% and gold is up 0.14%. Unleaded gas is down 0.16% and heating oil is down 0.69%. Metals are mixed, gold and silver are up while copper and platinum are down. Meats are up. Cocoa and cotton are up while corn, wheat and soybeans are down. Coffee is flat.

Resource Capital Corporation (RSO) reported Q4 results yesterday afternoon with an adjusted loss of 12 cents per share and is up nearly 0.5% in pre-market.

HD Supply (HDS) announced Q4 results with adjusted earnings of 44 cents per share that met expectations and is down nearly 3% in pre-market.

This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Rosetta Stone Inc. (RST).

Tomorrow before the open, Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (INO) is expected to report.

A leading Bullish DIS swing trade strategy is: When the 18 EMA is Above the 38 SMA AND the 14 SMA is Above the 35 SMA, daily bars.

AAPL was attracted to 139, ending up 0.04% on very low volume. AAPL opened at 138.85 to high volume and quickly popped up to the high end of the low-139 area on moderate volume before selling off on low volume and dipping to an intra-day low of 138.82 at 11:32am on low volume. AAPL subsequently bounced and put on a strong performance during lunchtime and moved up throughout the afternoon on low volume, reaching a peak intra-day high of 139.43 on moderate volume at 2:28pm. Towards the end of the day, AAPL was again pulled towards 139 on very low volume and ended the day up 6 cents at 139.20. AAPL gained 5 cents in after-hours to 139.25.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened lower in conjunction with Futures and scraped a pre-market low of 138.85 as DigiTimes leaked that Apple is to be introducing a 10.5 inch iPad at April event. AAPL is currently down 10 cents at 139.10 as we approach the open.

Classic max-pain is 130.
