Apple Today 4/19/2017 (AAPL)

S&P Futures are up 8 with +7 Fair Value, NASDAQ Futures are up 24 with +23 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 45 as we hit mid-week and earnings begin to pour in, including a beat from Morgan Stanley (MS). Techwise, it's day 2 of Facebook's F8 developer conference and Bitcoin is in the 1,215-area after spending some time above 1,220 and then dipping to 1,210 earlier.
This morning's Economic Calendar includes: MBA Mortgage Applications EIA Petroleum Inventories followed by Fed's Rosengren speech and Fed's Beige Book this afternoon.
The earnings winners are: Morgan Stanley (MS) is up over 2.5% and Abbott Laboratories (ABT), up nearly 2.5%.
On the other hand, Burberry Group Plc ADR (BURBY) is down over 5.5% and International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) is down nearly 5.5%.
Futures were up in early morning, continued up consistently throughout the morning and are near the highs as we approach the open.
Asian markets ended mostly down. China dropped 0.81%, Hong Kong went down 0.41% and Japan went up 0.07%. European markets are mixed. The UK is down 0.40%, Germany is up 0.12% and France is up 0.21%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 0.10%, natural gas is up 1.65% and gold is down 0.63%. Unleaded gas is down 0.67% and heating oil is down 0.17%. Metals are mixed gold and silver are down while copper and platinum are up. Meats are mostly down. Cotton, corn and soybeans are up while cocoa, coffee and wheat are down.
Morgan Stanley tops estimates as fixed-income revenue jumps.
International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) reported Q1 results yesterday afternoon that missed expectations and is down nearly 5.5% in pre-market. Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (IBKR) announced Q1 results with earnings of 34 cents per share that missed expectations and is down nearly 2.5%. Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) reported Q1 results with earnings of 6 cents per share that missed expectations and is up nearly 0.5%.
Morgan Stanley (MS) reported Q1 results this morning that beat expectations and is up over 2.5%. BlackRock, Inc. (BLK) announced Q1 results with adjusted earnings of $5.25 per share that beat expectations and is down slightly. Burberry Group Plc ADR (BURBY) is down over 5.5% after reporting Q4 results that missed expectations. TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (AMTD) announced Q2 results with earnings of 40 cents per share that missed expectations and is up over 1.5%. Abbott Laboratories (ABT) reported Q1 results that beat expectations and is up nearly 2.5%. U.S. Bancorp (USB) announced Q1 results with earnings of 82 cents per share that beat expectations and is down slightly. Textron Inc (TXT) reported Q1 results with adjusted earnings of 46 cents per share that met expectations and has yet to react.
This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from CSX Corporation (CSX), American Express Company (AXP), Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM) and eBay Inc. (EBAY).
Tomorrow morning before the open, Sonoco Products Co. (SON), IMAX Corporation (IMAX), Unilever Plc (UL), Philip Morris International Inc. (PM), The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BK), The Blackstone Group L.P. (BX), Citizens Financial Group (CFG), Quest Diagnostics Incorporated (DGX), KeyCorp (KEY), People's United Financial, Inc. (PBCT), The Sherwin-Williams Company (SHW), The Travelers Companies, Inc. (TRV), Verizon Communications (VZ) and Janus Capital Group Inc. (JNS) are expected to report.

AAPL dipped into murky waters yesterday, ending down 0.44% on low volume. AAPl opened at 141.41 to high volume and popped up to an intra-day high of 142.04 at 10:38am on moderate volume before slipping to an intra-day low of 141.11 at 12:20pm on low volume. AAPL bounced back to the mid-141 area and slipped to the lows into the close on moderate volume. AAPL ended the day down 63 cents at 141.20 and gained 13 cents in after-hours to 141.33.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened higher in conjunction with Futures and dipped to a pre-market low of 141.10 before bouncing back sharply to the upper-141 area as ADTRAN Inc. (ADTN) posted an earnings beat. AAPL is currently up 61 cents at 141.81 as we approach the open.
