Good Morning,

S&P Futures are up 1 with +1 Fair Value, NASDAQ Futures are up 3 with +5 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 14 as we reach "tax plan day" and the mother lode of earnings. Techwise, Twitter (TWTR) showed user growth amid a revenue drop and is up over 9%. The price of Bitcoin is near 1,285, striking distance to the all-time highs of 1,290+ from early March.

This morning's Economic Calendar includes: MBA Mortgage Applications and EIA Petroleum Inventories followed by Results of $15B, 2-Year FRN Auction and Results of $34B, 5-Year Note Auction this afternoon.

The earnings winners are: Edwards Lifesciences Corp (EW), up nearly 10% and Twitter, Inc. (TWTR), up over 9%.

On the other hand, United States Steel Corporation (X) is down nearly 20.5% and Seagate Technology (STX) is down over 9%.

Futures were flat in early morning, have since been bouncing in a narrow range from green to red and back again and are near the highs as we approach the open.

Asian markets ended up. China went up 0.20%, Hong Kong gained 0.50% and Japan led the advance, up 1.10%. European markets are down slightly. Germany is down 0.04%, France is down 0.03% and the UK is leading the decline, down 0.11%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 0.95%, natural gas is up 0.95% and gold is down 0.28%. Unleaded gas is down 1.60% and heating oil is down 1.01%. Metals are down except copper. Meats are up. Cocoa and wheat are up while, cotton, corn, and soybeans are down. Coffee is flat.

Panera Bread Company (PNRA) reported Q1 results yesterday afternoon with adjusted earnings of $1.83 per share and is down slightly in pre-market. iRobot Corporation (IRBT) announced Q1 results with adjusted earnings of 52 cents per share that beat expectations and is up nearly 10%. Acadia Healthcare Co. (ACHC) reported Q1 results with adjusted earnings of 46 cents per share that beat expectations and has yet to react. Discover Financial Services (DFS) announced Q1 results with net income of $1.43 that beat expectations and has yet to react. Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (CMG) reported Q1 results that beat expectations and is up over 0.5%. Capital One Financial Corporation (COF) announced Q1 results with adjusted earnings of $1.75 per share that missed expectations and is down nearly 4%. Cree, Inc. (CREE) reported a Q3 loss with adjusted earnings of 1 cent per share and is down nearly 9.5%. Edwards Lifesciences Corp (EW) announced Q1 results with adjusted earnings of 94 cents per share that beat expectations and is up nearly 10%. AT&T Inc. (T) reported Q1 results with mixed results and is up slightly. United States Steel Corporation (X) announced Q1 results that missed expectations and is down nearly 20.5%. Logitech International S.A. (LOGI) reported Q4 results with adjusted earnings of 21 cents per share that beat expectations and is up over 7.5%. Shutterfly, Inc. (SFLY) reported a Q1 results with an adjusted loss of 84 cents per share that beat expectations and has yet to react. Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN) announced Q1 results with adjusted earnings of 89 cents per share that beat expectations and is down nearly 0.5%. Juniper Networks (JNPR) reported Q1 results with adjusted earnings of 46 cents per share that beat expectations and is up over 2%.

Ingersoll-Rand plc (IR) reported Q1 results this morning with adjusted earnings of 57 cents per share that beat expectations and is up over 1.5% in pre-market. Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (WYN) announced Q1 results with adjusted earnings of $1.14 per share that beat expectations and has yet to react. Owens Corning (OC) reported Q1 results with adjusted earnings of 85 cents per share that beat expectations and has yet to react. Twitter, Inc. (TWTR) announced Q1 results that beat expectations and is up over 9%. PepsiCo Inc. (PEP) reported Q1 results and is down over 0.5%. AAPL jumped up like a spider to the upper-144 area, ending up 0.63% on low volume. AAPL opened up at 143.91 to high volume and immediately set an intra-day low of 143.91 on high volume. AAPL moved up through the morning, leveled out into lunchtime and jumped up in the afternoon on low volume peaking in the afternoon just shy of 145 at 144.90 at 3:24 on moderate volume before slipping towards mid-144 into the close on moderate volume. AAPL ended the day up 90 cents at 144.54 and gained 16 more cents in after-hours to 144.48.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened higher in conjunction with Futures and hit a pre-market high of 144.90 as Piper Jaffray maintained AAPL coverage with Overweight and a $155 target. AAPL is currently up 2 cents at 144.55 as we approach the open.
